December 5th - 16th

Fabulous Friday! This also was PJ Day. The children love to come over to my big table and eat there on this day. So, I cleaned it all off, pulled it out and we all had lunch together. Now, the big class Gingerbread Man cookie had reappeared so we all ate a part of him and there was nothing left but the crumbs. The children did not think he would be able to run away again! Thanks to Mrs. Champion for taking the class picture!

J did a wonderful job of drawing on the whiteboard. She kept asking how do you spell ... The words that were on our word wall she had to find herself.
Awesome work, J!

The children did an excellent job of decorating the class tree. It is in the dramatic play area and is decorated most days!

Our Literacy Frosty Snowman continues to grow! Some children have made a request for more snowballs. I will send more in January.
Thank you for supporting this literacy activity!

Now, where does this piece of the puzzle go?

I think we used every piece of the marble works for this masterpiece!

Thank you to our mystery reader, Marsha Costello. She read a book about snowmen and then used a video camera and the LCD projector to show us the book on the whiteboard. We had to find hidden images in the book!

The best part of sorting and counting is in the end we get to eat the goodies!

You mean we can cut our pictures, use stickers and design our very own scrapbook page?
The pages look amazing!

Thank You Louie, basketball player for Storm for visiting and reading to the kindergarten students in KA & B.

Thanks to our Mystery Reader Leah Clark and her son Max. The Dr. Seuss rhyme book was excellent!

Thanks G for writing the morning message!

The Family Trees are beautiful! Great work!

The block building structures continue to become more complex!

This mailbox will hold lots of mail!

How are you going to make your Gingerbread Paper Plate Craft?

We leave writing and mailing letters to Santa as a family activity. We are drawing a few items we would like to have for Christmas to take home to show our families .

This a a large coloring book. It is great to color together with friends!

First we cut, print our names on the back and then spread some glue on the front and sprinkle with Cinnamon. The Gingerbread cutouts smell nice.

Writing Christmas Cards for our Book Buddies!

Roll and Decorate. Roll the dice and put that amount of pom poms on the tree.

Fabulous Friday! We can eat at any table we want, even at the dramatic play table
and the writing table.

Our Frosty for Family Literacy Day is beginning to take shape.
Keep sending in your snowballs!
Thanks to Tracy for the idea!

C is re-telling the story that was read last night. He has a snowball
to add to our " Watching Frosty Grow With Good Books"!
Great job C!

Can you put the letters together to make words?
Here W let's work together.

The students were asked to work together as a team
to see what they could create with the connect straws.
Great problem solving and teamwork!

Playing 7 Up, now is this a card that I need or do I put it in the junk pile.
I hope I find one of those magic purple cards that I can use for any number.

The first snowfall! There is excitement in the air today!

We worked and sang together while making a class snowman!
After it is build the children close their eyes and I removed a part.
Then the children guessed which part was missing.
I could not trick them at all!

Our class has a new look! Special thanks to Mrs. Dumville's sister Elaine
for helping!

Sure W I would love to take a picture of your block creation!

National Child Day!
Our crowns did make us feel special!

We made rhyme monsters. First we listened to the directions and
then we drew each part in the rhyme.
We think they look great!

File folder games to use in between activities!

Roll the dice and color the character with that number.
Did you see where my dice went?

Which bead should I choose now? So many choices ... hard to decide.
