June 16 - 20

Dig for sight word treasures and record the words you find!

Set sail in a pirate ship... how much treasure will your ship hold.  Sort the treasures!

How many gold coins are in each treasure chest.  Find the letters to make the number word.  Record the number word, print the number!

Make your own pirate hat from newspaper.  The folding was a little tricky!

Where did my students go?  All I see are some pirates!

Pirate Playdough mats -  create coconuts for the tree, add treasure to the treasure chest, create some sharks in the water, etc

Part Part whole - first we drop the sticks then we count how many have yellow dots and how many have red dots.  Then we recorded the results on the whiteboard.

June 2 - 6

Math - Roll two dice count the dots and color that part of the shark with that number on it!

Science- discover the shells that are hidden in the sandbox ... tally how many of each type you find!

Working on our Father's Day Fish cards!

Fishy Sentences - use the words in each baggie to figure out a sentence that makes sense.  Write the sentence.

Greg from Newcomers was in and did a presentation with the children on inclusion.  If you see someone all by themselves why not invite them to play with you!

Frog sorting ... sort the frogs how many have stars, stripes, or dots.  Record your work!

Mrs. Turner our Literacy Coach was in and did a story and some activities on beginning and ending sounds!

KA & B have completed the art for the office display.  The quilt of flowers is beautiful!

Listen and Do ... first we listen to the directions and  then you use markers to complete the rest of the picture!

Our math work job Butterfly Symmetry... copy the pattern on one wing to make the other wing look exactly the same and on some butterflies you create the pattern yourself!

Label the parts of a plant, then decorate a cup and plant your scarlet runner bean seeds!
