December 12 - 14 ~~~~~~~ The Gingerbread Man and Christmas!

The children worked on AB pattern Christmas Trees.  Just a quick glance and I knew who mastered the AB pattern concept.

I introduced the game Boggle.  There is a student’s name hidden in the game.  We discovered the name was Michael and that the sight words:a, am, he, I, me, and my were also hidden in the game.  Fun way to work on sight words!

The children are busy getting the Merry Christmas sign ready for the gifts that they worked on as a surprise for you!

Roll and color.  Roll the dice and whatever number you get you color that part of the gingerbread man.

The gift wrapping centre was a big hit.  The children wrapped and taped, having so much fun and developing their fine motor control and also social skills as they shared the tape.

Draw your gingerbread family!

I put out a small Christmas tree and some ornaments, and Christmas clothing in the dramatic play centre.  The tree looked really nice when completed!
