June 18-22 ~~~ Week # 2 ~~~ Pirates Week # 2 ~~~~ Final Blog post for this year!

Our visit to the Fire Dept.  Captain Mitchell did an
excellent job with the kindergarten children.
The rain did not slow us down, not even a little bit!



Games Day … the children had a fantastic time.
 Lots of sharing with the games they brought in.

Dress like a pirate and go on a treasure hunt.  
We had so much fun. Thank you to Bransen, Emma,
and Grace for sending in some extra treasures
for our hidden treasure hunt.  We had to
follow clues around the school and ended
back in our classroom. Grace and Emily found
the treasure!!! Lots of goodies
to be shared with everyone!

Roll and Graph … with pirate item will race to the top?


Pirate themed playdough mats.
Add some coconuts to the tree, place some sharks
in the water, create some parrots, etc


Pirate board game if you land on a a space
that says pick  card you choose a sight word on a
treasure chest. See how many sight words you can collect.

It sure looked like a fun day.  The telescopes completed our Pirate theme.

June 11 - 15 ~~~ The Pirate Theme ~~~ Week #1

Buried treasure … sight words written on gold coins.
 Dig for a coin and record the sight word.


Add the correct number of gold coins on the treasure chest.
Find the letters to spell the number words.




Pirate board game … which pirate will finish the game first?


Sink or float?  How many treasure can you
fit into your pirate boat before it sinks?

about bike safety.  Seeing the car up close was pretty cool!

June 4 - June 8th ~~~ Caterpillars

Jayda turned 6!  Happy birthday Jayda!

Create your own beautiful butterfly.  
A container with three different types of butterfly templates. 
Choose one and decorate any way you wish!

Roll the dice and whatever picture
you land on tell about what happened in the story.

Sequence the food the hungry caterpillar ate each day.

Make your own Hungry Caterpillar story bag
to take home and tell to your family.

Roll the dice and cover the number you roll.
 Build up the numbers to see how many tiles
are on each number.

May 28 - 31 ~~~ Ladybugs

Writing on the art wall!  Each ladybug is unique!

that needs to go on each ladybug to make the number on the body.

Ladybug concentration.  Turn over two cards
if they match have another turn.


Ladybug Fly Home board game.  
Place 6 ladybugs on the board game. Roll the dice whichever
lady bug that is on that number moves one space.  Which ladybug will get home first?
