January 25 - 29 The Snowy Day

Brooklynn Gallant turned 6!  Happy Birthday Brooklynn!

Katelynn loved her birthday shoes!

We created our own Snowy Day class book!

Henry was our Star of the Week!

Brooklynn is our new Star of the Week!

We learned about the Inuksuk!  Then we created our own!

Help Peter drag his stick through the snow.

We had fun acting out I’m A Little Snowman!

Mrs. Gorveatt, our librarian read the story PJ Day to the class to celebrate Family Literacy Day

Here we are in front of our Watching Frosty grow with good books!  Frosty grew and grew!!!  Thank you for reading and sending in the snowballs!

The children really enjoyed going into the cozy reading areas with their friends.

We went to visit grade one.  First the kindergarten read a book to a grade one friend and then the grade one friend read to his or her friend!

Do you think the Groundhog will see his shadow on Tuesday?

We had fun acting out the groundhog song.  According to Katelynn it will be a cloudy day and the Evan aka the groundhog will stay out as spring is on it’s way!

Creating our own groundhog and the sun and a cloud.

Singing our groundhog song.  I see lots of little groundhogs popping up their heads to look around.
Clipboard cruising with words from the story The Snowy Day.

Sorting summer and winter clothing!

Sequencing the story and clipping clothespins on beginning word sounds.

Counting the snowflakes and clipping a clothespin on the appropriate number.

The block centre creations keep getting more elaborate each week!

The new playdough and flubber is a favorite learning centre choice.
