an opportunity to be a leprechaun!

Lenny the Leprechaun was hiding each morning!

Chloe found Lenny’s pot of gold!
The excitement!!!

Count and record the St. Patrick Day items.

St. Patrick’s day puzzle.

Choose a St. Patrick’s day

March 2 -5 ~~~ Dr. Seuss, and The 100th Day of School!

Finishing up last week’s work jobs of Dr. Seuss.

Lots of items for 100 Days of School.

The children went on a exercise hunt
around the school and found 10 exercises
to complete with 10 repetitions of each or
holding a pose for the count of 10.

Building with 100 cups.
 Lots of fun and excitement!

Bailey and Chelsey were in to
offer some help. They also
had a turn building with the
100 cups. We read some 100
 days of kindergarten books
and watched a 100th day song
 on the LCD projector.

Mr. Inman read The Lorax
and then we created our own
 truffula trees.Seuss reference in the
name of this plant. So just do a quick internet
search for “Dr. Seuss, Truffula Tree,” and you'll
 catch on pretty quickly.

After learning about 3D shapes
and the Inukshuk in math. I waited
for the perfect day to go outside
 and try building inukshuks outside.
We sprayed the creations with
orange water so we could see
them better. The children quickly
learned which shapes would
stack on top of one another.
 Lots of fun!!!

March came in like a Lion.
 Now we are predicting how
it will go out. More children
predict that it will go out like a Lamb.

Some learning centre pictures.
The 100 cups were quite a hit!!!

We did a listen and do
step by step drawing of
The Cat in the Hat!

Between parent teacher conferences
on Thursday and Friday. I worked
on changing the classroom around.
We now have a science centre,
 a clothesline for the dramatic
dress up clothing to hang on,
the dishes, dolls, accessories
are all organized, I brought out
the wooden blocks and shelf to
store them on, a puppet theatre,
the bottom three shelves are
 hosting many learning centre
choices, and we now have a
 math centre. We have one
community table with room for
all the children and I to sit
 together. I hope the children
 will enjoy the new space.

also brought in her wonderwoman doll
… oh the powers the kindergarten children
 are using during reading.

Jersey Day!

We enjoyed the story
The Cat in the Hat.
  We had a wonderful
discussion and recorded
 what the cat did that
was silly, crazy, etc.

We had some fun working
with numbers. Here is
All About the number 3.

Our 100 Monster… each of
 the students created part

great with his 100 parts!
