January 22 - 25 ....Literacy Day Activities .... The Mitten will continue on next week

The Mitten by Jan Brett.  We acted
out the story two times and I had to
get a bigger blanket that the one we
were using in order for all the characters
to call into the mitten. So, it’s blue and
white instead of white…. oh the static
in the hair and the laughs!!!

Some learning centre pictures!!!

Our Literacy Day project -
“Good Books Keep Popping Up”,
was a success again this year.
Thank you for participating.
Your children were getting really
good at telling the class what
the story on their popcorn was
all about!

The children were so excited
about our PJ, blanket, books,
stuffies,Mr. Doran coming to
read, and of course the popcorn!
I overhead several children saying
to their friends this is the best
day ever!!!!

Mr. Doran reading to the class!
The children look pretty relaxed
and very interested in the story.
The Wonky Donkey!!!  It is a
funny story.

Enjoying the popcorn at snack time!

We also went to Mrs. Martin’s
class and half of the class read
their guided readers to Mrs.
Martin’s class.  The other half
read to Ms. Keough’s grade 3
Class. Unfortunately the battery
was low in my phone so only pictures
were taken in Mrs. Martin’s class.

Paige Nauss, was our Student
of the Month!
