Literacy work job .... Ladybug upper and lowercase puzzles.  Put them together and then place the puzzle pieces in alphabetical order.

Draw a letter from Kanga.  Say the letter and then record the letter.

Roll the letter cube.  Which letter will race to the top A B C D E or F?

Gone Buggy, how many times did you have to remove a bug when you rolled the fly swatter?  Did you roll the can of off?  How many bugs were left in your jar when work job time was over?

Which picture did you choose to build with the patterns blocks?

Draw a monster number card - add that many beads  to the pipe cleaner.  Now record your work.

Roll the dice place that an animal in each tub. Roll again who will fill their tubs with animals first?

Our counting jar booklet.  Count the number of objects.  Draw to represent that many.  Print the number and word.

Math problem notebooks.  Mrs. Wishy Washy scrubbed the cow, the pig and the duck.  How many animals did she scrub?  Show your work.

Mrs. Wishy Washy board game.  Sometimes you land on a spot and you get to go ahead and sometimes you need to go back.  Turn taking,  counting and fun!

November 3 - 7

Our first Star of the Week - October 27 - 31 - Congratulations to Colton Bridges!

Mrs. MacNeill baked and brought in individual apple pies for everyone in the class! Mmmmmmmm  they were tasty!  Thank you Mrs. MacNeill!

As a word was held up the children found them and used a bingo dauber to mark them.  If the word "POP" came up the children got to mark any word they wished!

Our first experience using dictionaries.  We are working on a class book - "Silly Mrs. Wishy Washy she washed a ____________________  children could look and find any animal they wished to draw for our book!  Some interesting animals are in the book!

Playdough mats ... make the words from the story with playdough!

Tile cards and letter tiles with words to build from Mrs. Wishy Washy!

Roll the dice color the number that comes up on Mrs. Wishy Washy!

Tracing  mats try to follow the lines without going off!  Help the animals get across the path!

Mazes - can you help the characters get to the tub without crossing any lines!

Each group got to put the story in sequence with any words and then read the story by looking at the pictures!

October 27 - 31

Working hard on making our Pumpkin People ... lots of fine motor skills being developed, cutting, drawing, gluing, folding!

More Halloween Clipboard Cruising.  The students really enjoy this activity!

Small group with me ... literacy and numeracy.  The children enjoy working in this small group.  We practice letter formation, number formation and the sight words.  We all make our favorite number, letter or sight words without letting anyone else see than we share!

Color  a jack-o-lanterns and then use a nail to punch out the dots! Great fine motor activity!

Working on our own little pumpkins!  Thank you to Dawn MacMillian for bring all the pumpkins in for the class! The children truly enjoyed decorating and each one is so unique!

Orange and brown smarties... the children, counted, sorted, made patterns and the best part of all they got to eat them in the end!

We have been learning all about Apples and after watching Ten Apples Up on Top... we tried to see how many apples we could balance on our heads.  The most was two apples!  We had lots of fun, Ms. Gogan dropped in so we had her try too!

Our class jack o lantern.  The children decided what shape each part should be.  I cut it out and left it on a table for them to clean.  There was a lot of seeds in such a small pumpkin!

Some learning centre time activities.  Brayden and Josh worked all learning centre time at the castle in the block area!

Some Halloween craft making!

The whole class all dressed up for Halloween!  Great looking costumes everyone!

Special thank you to Jillian, Trenton, Tanner and Molly for bring in the Halloween Treats!  Everyone will have a turn before the year is out!  Please continue sending healthy snacks and lunches to school!

We made the Flubber as a group and then everyone got to take some home for Halloween!
