October 24 - 28

Sure, I'll take a picture of your lego house. Cooperation at it's best!

Look, Mrs. Dumville . . . I started my letter at the top and I did it!

We have a new song about how we form our letters!

I always start my letters at the top!
I always start my letters at the top!
When I write another letter!
I get better, better, better!
When I always start my letters at the top.

How many marbles do you have? Counting, creative building, fine motor control and best of all FUN!

I have to concentrate on my cutting!

Our Confederation Bridges continues to grow each time we build it.

It is our turn for Author's Stool today. We hope the class likes how we read our little book - Jack-O-Faces!

This is more difficult than it looks!

Only one more shape to fill in. No more than two using yellow was the rule!

How many ways can you fill in the hexagon shape with your patterns blocks?

Look! I am holding my marker properly! This pinch and flip method works!

The class has decided our pumpkin will have a happy face!
Everyone has voted! We will listen and respect that the most children would like our Jack-O-Lantern to have a happy face!

What type of a face shall I draw on this pumpkin?

October 17 - 19

Winnie the Pig was a hit. She loved eating our apple cores. We all had an opportunity to pet Winnie. Her hair was standing straight up! It felt like bristles.

Come a little closer!

The Alpaca's were amazing!

There are so many apples. I don't know which one to pick?

Our trip to Arlington Apple Orchard ... Now where is that biggest red apple hiding?

Our very own Confederation Bridge!

If I pour this jug of water into the funnel what will happen?

Literacy and Numeracy together in a treasure chest of gold!

The writing table is a hit in the class. Letters are being written to friends in Kindergarten A!

I decided to sting a set of green letters!

Stinging the letters we know ... fine motor, color and letter recognition!

Where is that matching shape?

October 10 -14

We put together cubes that had the letters in our names on them. While doing this we discovered we were making AB patterns. We also measured and discovered that Griffin's name tower was the longest with seven cubes and Abi's name tower was the shortest with three cubes.

I will read to you and then you read to me. Buddy reading is a great! The witches finger pointer also helped to point to the words!

So many delicious fruits to choose from. The Color Your Lunch Campaign was fun! A wonderful way to incorporate healthy snacks! The best part was going to Kindergarten A and eating with our friends!

First we had to create the recipe. The children drew the fruit they would like to have when it came time to make their own fruit salad. Fun while developing creativity and fine motor!

The children had lots of fun making the goop recipe! Some children were not sure if they wanted to actually put there hands into it but in the end thought it was great. There was so many outcomes being introduced with this fun activity! Special thanks to Mrs. Champion for helping with this fun project!

Now I just need the roof to complete my house! The weather forecast is predicting rain!
Fine motor control at it's best!

How many colored blocks are in each letter? 4 blue squares in the T - now how do I make the number 4? Oh yes - Down and across and down once more that's the way to make a 4.

Our AB Pattern Frame Display!

Kindergarten October 3-7

The Gears were a hit ... here we can see some AB patterns in the works!
In the background the students now are being asked to login and type in their passwords. The keyboard is in uppercase letters and their login and passwords are in lowercase... if your child is unsure of the letters please review at home!

New items in the lego table, owls, dragons, horses, people, houses, boats and so much more! The boys cannot believe the accessories! The social interaction is wonderful!

These lego people are ready for a boating adventure! I do not see their life jackets!

The K-Nex were a lot of fun, those small muscles are working hard at creating interesting items!

Dramatic Play at it's best ... Buzz Light Year and a Fire Fighter working side by side! Are my wings on straight?

Marble Works . . .I wonder if I connect this together like this will the marble go through the tube?

Wow! This marble works creation took a lot of cooperation to build!

Here comes the marble. I think I used most of the pieces to make this fantastic marble works creation!
