September 15 - 19 Chicka Chicka Boom Boom continues...

Our classroom family!

Find the tiles to spell the words!

Lots of concentration as  your children go clip board cruising for sight words in the hallway!

Draw an uppercase letter from Kanga the Kangaroo's pouch and color that letter on your chicka boom tree!

Shake the sand bottle filled with letters and sand record the letters you see!

Coconut Counting book color the cover and then on each page add the number of coconuts to go with the number!

Roll the number dice and color the part of the coconut tree with that number on it!

Pick a card and whatever shape you see add it to your coconut tree!

We made our own name chicka chicka boom boom  trees.  We added the letters of our name.  Then we did an activity to create our own Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Forest.  The trees grew quite tall!

Our hallway display.  We invited the grade one students to put their names in the bag and every time we walk past the name poem if it is a grade one name on it we change it and count how many letters are in our name.  This is a fun activity for letter recognition and counting and recognizing numbers!  All of our pictures are going up the Chicka Boom Tree!

Our Chicka Boom Puzzle.  Mrs. MacNeill helped the children out it together and now all hands are together with a cheer "Go Team"!

Some learning centre fun!

Our grade four book buddies!
