January 11 - 15 More Winter!!!

Evan MacMillan turned 6 – Happy Birthday Evan!

You pick a snowball with the sight word written on it, build it with letter tiles and then record the sight word.

Create your own Winter Fun book.  Draw and write three things you would like to do in the winter.

Roll the dice, cover that number of snowmen, continue to roll and cover until all the snowmen are covered.  Then print the numbers to 10.

Jasper Brown will be our new Star of the Week!  Congratulations Jasper!

Mr. MacDonald came to listen to the children read their guided reading books to the class.  I held the book and touched each word, and your child used the microphone.  Every child did an amazing job, nice voice and expression. They were very proud of themselves!  I was also very, very proud of how well they read.  I love seeing the children develop a love of reading!

At learning centre time Ms. B., and I were treated to a delicious meal!  Notice the tablecloth and flowers!

Winter words – record the winter words with markers.

Some learning centre time fun!  The social skills that are being developed as so important!

The painting easel was a popular centre this week!

Our Watching Frosty Grow with Good Book Literacy project is really looking great!  Each snowball represents a book that was read!  Anyone who would like more snowballs, please let me know!
