Working on a bus puzzle.

Easter pictures to color by number codes.

Color and count all the Easter eggs that have the same pattern.

More color by number code – Easter Pictures!

A Tisket a Tasket a little Easter Basket.  ------------ had a word for his/her friend and on his/her way he dropped it.  Whoever the egg is dropped behind opens the egg and tells the sight word.

The train track has been used and enjoyed each day it was a choice at learning centre time.

Easter would not be complete without an egg on a spoon race!!!

Some pictures of our Spring Fling Talent Show.  The children did an awesome job.  Thank you for coming in to support the children.

March 7 - 10 St. Patrick's Day!

Look at your sheet.  What number is on the first shamrock?   Put that many shamrocks on the ten frame.  How many empty boxes on your ten frame?  Record that number on the second shamrock.

Color and count the gold coins.  Color the shamrock with the correct number of coins on it.

Ad and at families.  Cut out the hats and glue onto the right family.  Try to sound out the words.

Color and cut out the pieces to make a pot of gold puzzle.  This was really challenging for some students.

Our St. Patrick’s celebration table.  The children decorated it!  Each student was very particular of where they wanted to place their decoration item!

We did a Leprechaun song and the children had turns acting it out.  Here are four of the little leprechauns.

We also had an early St. Patrick’s pot of gold hunt.  Clues were given and we did some mapping of the school as we followed the clues.  The children had to decide it we were to turn right or left after each clue.  Great excitement as we followed the clues and found a small pot of bubble gum back in our classroom.

Some learning centre time fun activities.  Your children are learning and practicing invaluable skills like: turn taking, sharing, helping others, problem solving, appropriate noise level, at this time.  The children  look forward to this time each day!

February 29 - March 4 Finishing up our Dinosaur Theme

Paper plate dinosaurs.  Use your imagination and create your own dinosaur.

Digging in the sand for dinosaurs.  When you find a dinosaur check it off on your sheet.  When you find all the dinosaurs.  Draw your three favorite dinosaurs.

Our Dinosaur mind map!

Roll the dice.  Graph the dinosaur.  Which dinosaur will race to the top?

The name of a dinosaur is on the sheet. Find a word that goes with each letter on the sheet.  The children were introduced to dictionaries as a way to help find words.

Kyler celebrated his 6th birthday.  Happy Birthday Kyler!

Kyden was Star of the Week Feb 22 – 26th!

5 little Dinosaurs Went Out to Play. The children all had turns to act out the poem.

The dinosaur continued to grow.

Number Bingo!  Of course each person won and received a candy as the prize!

Lace the letters that you know!

Pattern blocks placing the blocks on the pattern sheet to create different pictures.

Teamwork is necessary to put the dinosaur puzzle together!

Dramatic play the boys told me they were having a break and were at Tim Horton’s having a coffee!  Notice the cups! J

Having fun with different stamps and the stamp pad!

Lily was our Star of the Week from February 29 – March 4.

Henry and Evan were quite busy creating this interesting block building.  Henry asked if I would take a picture and put it on the Blog!

This dinosaur puzzle was one of the work jobs.  After the puzzle is completed the children always put their hands one over the other and say” Teamwork”!!!

Sawyer worked hard to create this neat block structure.  Notice the placement of the cars.

Friday was the first day to have Frozen Treats available as a fundraiser.  Seven students brought money and seven students did not have any money.  I suggested to the children that it would be really kind to share with a friend but it was up to each student.  I was so impressed by the kindness.  Every student who had a popsicle gave half of it to a friend. Well done kindergarten students!
