Our beginning Gruffalo… I asked the students
what they thought a Gruffalo may look like
and this is the result!

Our Gruffalo chart poem! |
Mr. Durant reading The Gruffalo |
This work job consisted of labeling
the Gruffalo, and completing a small
Gruffalo puzzle.
|
Using playdough add the features
to the Gruffalo pictures.
|
The Gruffalo board game. When you landed on
certain spaces you got to move forward a
few spaces or move back a few. To win
the mouse had to get to the acorn at the finish.
|
Printing some Gruffalo words, when finished
draw the Gruffalo on the back of your
sheet and do a lacing wheel.
|
Using letter tiles make the
words from the Gruffalo story.
|
Lego board game. When you land on a number
you get to choose a few Lego, or you may need
to put some Lego back. When the game is
finished create with your Lego pieces.
|
Initial sounds puzzles. Find the pictures
that go with the initial center of each puzzle.
|
Create your own Gruffalo. This art work job
was lots of fun. I put a paper bag and all
the colors needed for the Gruffalo in the tote
and the children created as they wished.
|
Our finished art wall with each individual,
unique Gruffalo. I think they are fabulous!
|
Some of the other things we did
with the Gruffalo, the story map,
the chart poem and sequencing the story.
|
Reading together with a friend.
One person reads the other listens
and then they switch.

Some learning centre time pictures!
