October 11 - 14

Guardian Drug in O’Leary generously donates envelopes to our class.  I thought we should send them a thank you note. The staff was very pleased and the thank you note is now on their staff room wall.  I am always looking for material for the writing table, stickers, envelopes, themed or fancy  stationery, special markers and writing tools any items that will engage the children to want to write. Feel free to send in some items.

This work job “Very Busy Crows” involved number order the children had to figure out the highest number in each row and count on.

Our first attempt at Clipboard Cruising where the children have to find and print words.  They had to find the color words to print next to the colored fall leaves.

Fall Pasta - sorting and making AB Patterns.

After Dark - a concentration game using upper and lowercase letters.  Turn over two cards do they belong together if so you hold on to them.  The children were able to use the word wall to check to see if the letters belonged together.

We made beautiful fall trees and leaves using paint and some shaving cream.  The trees and leaves turned out beautiful.

Wear blue and white in support of the Blue Jays.  We were able to find some blue and white on everyone in the class.  Mrs. Johnston, Mr. Lynch and Patrick were all wearing their Blue Jays baseball caps!
