| First day pictures were taken. A fine looking group! |

After reading The Kissing Hand - we made Chester the Racoon headbands. There was a note at the end of the book. It had a clue of where we might find Chester. We followed the clues, which led us on a tour of the school and in the end. Chester thought our class was the best and we went back to discover Chester was not there but he left some chocolate kisses for everyone. The class really enjoyed the treat. |

Routine is important and each day
we do work jobs so we got right to work this week the work jobs were: playdough wonderful for developing fine motor muscle control, stringing beads, pattern blocks and magnetics. |

We worked on letter recognition by marching around
the mat with the letters on it when the music stopped tell the letter you are standing on. It was fine to get help from your friends or me. |

In the afternoon it is learning centre time.
The children choose which centre they would like to join, there are only so many children permitted to go to each centre. We do a couple of rotations. I try to give the children 45 - 60 minutes of learning centre time each day. Here are a few pictures of the children enjoying learning centre time. |
