Gingerbread Man, Christmas and Christmas Dinner!

The children made their own
 individual cheesecake dessert
for our Christmas Dinner on Friday.

Lots of work happening to get
ready for our dinner. Hands
are washed and the peeling of
the carrots, turnip and potatoes
 has begun.

Tables and chairs are moved
 around for a banquet table.
  We put on the festive
tablecloth and the children
decorated, and set the table.
I think it looks wonderful!!!

The meal has begun. All the potatoes,
 cranberry and gravy was eaten.
Quite a few children requested
 more potatoes and turkey
( it was actually a large chicken).
Mr. Grady was given a plate,
Mr. MacDonald joined us for lunch
and Bailey a grade nine student
who was helping also joined us
 for lunch. My sister Sandra,
 and a retired kindergarten
teacher Susan helped.
 It was a busy day.
 The school had a beautiful
 aroma of our dinner cooking.
The children really enjoyed
the dinner. It was a great day!

We acted out the Gingerbread
Man story.  The children really
enjoy it when we act out stories
 we have been reading.

He was in the Christmas tree today.

Math activity.. Show me
the same as I have,
less than me, and more than me.

We were invited into Ms. Keough’s
grade 3 class for their publishing party.
The grade 3 students read their books to us.
The books were amazing!
Thank you for the invite grade 3.

Mrs. Gorveatt’s class had read
the story The Three Pigs to our
class and also to her grade 4 class
our book buddies. We were than
invited down to grade 4 to have
a house building time. We would
be checking to see if the house
could be blown down. Both classes
had a fabulous time building the
 houses together.The students
 were just given an assortment
of crafty materials and could
build any type of house they wished.

Here is the big bad wolf!!!
Aka Mrs. Gorveatt’s hair dryer!
Who will huff and puff and try
 to blow the houses down.

All of the houses stood strong
 some moved off the foundations
but they all held up! Lots of cheers!!!
Thank you, Mrs. Gorveatt and our book buddies.

Upon coming indoors Chloe
had some mud on her leg.
Here Raye is helping to clean it off.
Good friends are the best!
