December 2 - 6

Upon arrival  there was a large gingerbread boy waiting on the mat.  When we went to gym, he disappeared and only left some crumbs and a note!
Our literacy workjob ... first we say the sight word, then we print it and finally we cut out the letters and build the word.

Our math workjob... roll the dice, place that many gingerbread counters in a muffin tin.  Record  to see which number will race to the top of the sheet

Our science 5 senses work job.  It was all about gumdrops- there were 5 containers with gumdrops in them the children recorded how they sounded when shook, what they smelled like, what they looked like, what they felt like and best of all what they tasted like!

We went on a hunt to see if we could find our gingerbread boy and KA's gingerbread girl.  We were not successful , we put up posters in the school so if anyone caught them they could return them to our classes.  However, we did find some small gingerbread cookies hidden in our class when we returned!  They were delicious!

Our dramatic play centre was busy making gingerbread cookies.  The girls made a large platter of cookies which smelled nearly good enough to eat!

I liked my Grammie as well.  A beautiful picture with some wonderful writing R!
