This week each workjob had two parts. For this one first you used playdough and the Gruffalo playdough mats and then you used the pictures to sequence the story.

Mrs. Dickieson was back and she is modeling partner reading with Cassie. Then all the students had a turn to partner read with a friend.

We had lots of fun acting out the Gruffalo story. The children did a wonderful job of using different voices as they acted out the story.

Creating our own Gruffalo Art! Each child was given the materials and each Gruffalo certainly has it’s own character. The sizes the children cut to make the facial details is interesting.

We ended the week by changing our classroom into a Theatre. I rolled up the mat and moved it out of the way. The children got in line to stamp their admission ticket and pick up a cup of corn twists at the concession stand. They brought their chairs over and lined them up to watch The Gruffalo. It was a nice way to end our week of The Gruffalo.
